WHY I REVAMPED MY COURSE
I take Microblading education very seriously, and have always encouraged feedback from my students. I have learned that only so much can be taught and absorbed in the traditional 3-Day Microblading Course, and that students do appreciate having more time to learn and practice hair-strokes before tattooing on real people. I wanted to offer a course that gives people the flexibility to learn at their own pace and spend as much time as they need practicing before working on live models.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Once you register for “Microblading Professional”, you will receive a confirmation email, access to the online Microblading course within 24 hours, and a practice kit in the mail within 7 business days. Once you receive access to the online course, you can begin learning right away. After you have completed the online course, and feel confident with your practice, you can then schedule 2 days for your in-person training.

This Microblading Course requires only 2 days of in-person training. If you have to take time off work, or are travelling from out of the city, this course offers the flexibility to schedule your in-person training when it is convenient for you.

A MESSAGE FROM TANYA
Most people will assume that I was a makeup artist or a tattoo artist prior to microblading, but the truth is that I had absolutely no professional experience or even considered myself to be creative before I began microblading. My last employment position was in property management, and before that I was a team leader in a call centre. I liked wearing makeup, but I wasn’t very good at it and I was actually really really bad at brow makeup. I had the worst pencil thin eyebrows and a friend told me about microblading. I was amazed. I thought to myself “This is the evolution of eyebrow tattoo’s”. Microblading is truly life-changing for so many mean and women, and it is not out of reach either.. but it was for me.
I was working as a full-time employee in a management role delivering bad news to people under the direction of my boss. I was the “bad guy”, and I wasn’t making enough money to be able to afford microblading for myself. Vancouver is not cheap and I knew I had to make a change if I ever wanted to purchase a property, or have money to put my future children in extracurricular activities. I brainstormed all types of entrepreneurial opportunities for myself for a whole year and then a friend mentioned how cool it would be to learn how to microblade. I was already so passionate about microblading and it was a no-brainer. Within only 3 days, I had requested 1 week off from my boss and used money I had saved to purchase a replacement vehicle to make a deposit on a microblading course instead.
I have only ever taken 1 microblading course, and that was in Toronto back in 2016. I sucked in class. I messed up, and it was hard, and I cried, and I almost didn’t go back for my third day of class but I’m sooo happy I did. I imagined I would need to keep my full-time job and hustle part-time as a microblading artist for a couple of years to gain experience and build my clientele. A few months after completing my 3-day course, I rented a private room in a hair salon for $400 per month. I advertised on craigslist to get my first 12 paying clients and then applied at a well known microblading studio. I got hired and I quit my full-time job. I began working as a full-time microblading artist only 6 months out of training and never looked back. I saved half of every pay check and 2 years later purchased a property all on my own.
My message to you is don’t settle. If you’re not happy with your current situation and you want something more for yourself, then go for it! If you can imagine it, you can make it happen. As the years go by, my dreams and goals become bigger and bigger. You deserve it all, and it all begins with a choice.

This microblading course is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge and training required to become a successful Microblading Artist! Learn the fundamentals of eyebrow microblading, using Tanya’s best practices and begin your career using the best microblading products available.
Tanya will spend plenty of time practicing creative hair-stroke patterns with you using a microblade tool and practice skin. Learn Tanya’s technique to achieving natural looking fluffy brows and thin hair-like strokes with hands-on practice everyday throughout this course.
Watch her demonstrate a full microblading appointment live in-class, followed by a Q&A. Students are encouraged to take notes throughout this live demo for study and discussion.
All of the true learning happens during hands-on practice with real people. Students get the opportunity to perform two full microblading appointments in-class with Tanya’s supervision and guidance.
This course will prepare you to take clients on your own, set up your new business, and promote yourself using social media.
Learn the safety and sanitation standards related to the tattoo industry, the process of a microblading appointment from start to finish, and how to effectively carry-out a microblading procedure.
You will learn how to use a microblade tool to draw hair-like strokes, and how to creatively design new eyebrows for your clients.
This course is currently offered through in-person classes and is recommended for beginners and new artists in the industry. No previous experience or knowledge is required.

She has focused her career on Microblading for over 6 years. Her passion and dedication to mastering her craft truly sets her apart from the rest. With more than 10,000 hours of experience, Tanya is considered an expert in the Microblading industry.
Aside from her experience as a Microblading Pro, Tanya has more than 15 years of experience in management, training, and customer service. She has a complete understanding of what it takes to succeed in the cosmetic tattoo industry and is passionate about setting up her students for success.

There are a few options for finding a place to work after taking a microblading course:
Look for a bed rental or contract with an already established business like a beauty salon, microblading studio, or tattoo shop - this is highly recommended for saving overhead costs and gaining experience in the industry.
Establish a home based business. Please check with your local business licensing branch to confirm eligibility for home-based businesses in your area.
Lease a commercial/retail/office space - this is not recommended for those with a clientele base than can afford overhead costs and are ready to grow their business.

A license or certification is not required to perform microblading services. However, most businesses will not hire or contract a person without prior training and/or experience.
The certificate provided to you upon completion of this course is a document proving that you received professional training from an accredited and insured business owner.

Absolutely not!
The biggest piece of advice that I can give to anyone looking to learn microblading is;
to search for an artist that produces work and results that you love! Learn from that artist, because each artist will only be able to teach you what they know how to do.
It is worth the wait, travel, or whatever it be to learn from someone that you want to work just like.

If you choose to start a home-based business or rent a commercial space, you will need to apply for a business license and complete a health inspection by your local health authority.
Every city and municipality will have their own requirements. Refer to your local business-licensing branch for more information by visiting their website.

Yes. It is recommended to practice with at least five people that you know to gain experience working with client’s.
Most microblading artists charge between $200 - $600 per session and do two services per day. A microblading artist can comfortably complete up to 4 sessions per day with a full schedule. New artists typically charge half the cost of the average rates while they continue to improve their skills and build their portfolios.

Nope. Anyone can take this course. If you are eager to learn and willing to put the work in, the completion of this course will prepare you for a successful career as a Microblading Artist.

After completion of training, you will be invited to an online support group. Instructor support is available through email and via the online support group.

Each class will have a maximum of 2 - 4 students registered. Classes of 3 or more students will have assistant trainers present.
